Motley Crue announces new album and tour |
"New Tattoo" Hits Stores June 20; Tour Kicks-off June 24 in Seattle
Motley Crue has announced the 2nd Annual Maximum Rock tour which
will hit more than 50 amphitheaters this summer featuring special
guest Megadeth.
According to sources close to Motley Crue, the band will perform
classic hits including "Kickstart My Heart," "Dr Feelgood" and "Same
Ol' Situation," and new material from their anticipated new album "New
Tattoo" due out June 20.
According to lead singer, Vince Neil, "Maximum Rock will be
unpredictable and dangerous -- just what rock-n-roll concerts should
be and what Motley Crue has always delivered. We are excited to let
the fans hear the new songs live as well as the Motley anthems they
have grown to love."
"Very few bands have the staying power to stand the test of time
in the music industry today, but Motley Crue continues to be the
exception to that rule. Driving hooks and one of the most powerful
performances on any stage makes the Crue permanent like a good
tattoo," said Doug Podell, Program Director for WRIF in Detroit.
"Maximum Rock will be even bigger, better and badder this summer.
It is the pairing of Motley Crue and Megadeth that will make it the
ticket for rock fans -- it's going to be a fun, outrageous show," said
Alex Hodges, executive vice-president HOB/Universal Concerts.
Maximum Rock tickets for the tour will be available starting April
29 in most markets. An announcement regarding local market and early
Internet on-sale information forthcoming.
