Threshold

Tired of playing complex games with all kinds of hand signals, bizarre rules and animal noises involved? Are you just looking to consume a large amount of beverage, but want a slightly entertaining way to do it? Do you ever get male itch? Well we can't help you with your personal problems, but we can help you with your drinking dilemma. We present to you Threshold, the game that allows you to drink heavily, involves very little thinking, and best of all, you get to make a neat clanging noise while you are playing!

All you need is a ready supply of the beverage of your choice, some willing friends, a die, a cup and a quarter. Now if you think you can handle all of this paraphernalia at once then read on and learn how to play. If you are confused or think you can't deal with all of this then just move on to another game. It's alright, we won't think any less of you. Really. We know it's tough being an imbecile and we wouldn't want to add to your problems.

For the rest of you here are the rules; Place the quarter and the die in the cup. Sort of like Yachtzee! The cup is passed to the first player and they become the shaker. They shake the cup, with the quarter and die in it, to the person next to them. Which side is up to you, but pick one direction and stick with it damn it! The person that the shaker shakes the cup at is the shakee. It is the job of the shakee to call either heads or tails. The shaker then dumps the quarter and die onto the table. If the shakee correctly called heads or tails then the shaker drinks the number of drinks indicated by the number showing on the die. If the shakee was incorrect then they have to drink the number of drinks indicated by the number on the die. Once this little exchange has concluded and all drinks have been consumed, the cup, die and quarter are passed along to the former shakee and they become the shaker for the next person.

That's all there is to it. It is similar to Mexican in that you get to shake dice in a cup. Beyond that there is no similarity. Despite the ease of the game it is possible to get loopy very quickly since you have the potential of having to take 12 drinks each time the cup comes around your way. For those of you who are not impressed, try adding in a second die. If you are still not impressed then try making the players stand on their heads while they are drinking. If that is still not enough for you then you truly have deep rooted problems.
