Spin the Bottle

At one time or another, most of us have played Spin the Bottle. It may have been many years ago or it may have been just yesterday. For many people playing this game was the first time they ever kissed a person of the opposite sex. This game brings back fond and innocent memories for many people. It seems a shame to defile the pure naiveté of the game with alcohol. Oh, what the heck lets do it anyway.

For the few of you that grew up in a closet or a monastery, lets review the rules. You get an equal number of boys and girls. Sit them in a circle, boy - girl, or girl - boy, whatever. Get a bottle of some sort, beer, soda, milk, it's really not important as long as the bottle will spin. Put the bottle in the middle of the circle and have someone spin it. If a boy spins the bottle first then they spin until the bottle points at a girl. The boy and girl are then supposed to kiss. The same but opposite applies if a girl spins the bottle first. After a person has spun and kissed then the next person in turn spins the bottle. That is the traditional, wholesome all-American way of playing. Here is the corrupted alcoholic way of playing.

Set up the game in the traditional way. Make sure everyone has a beer. Pick someone to start and have them spin the bottle. As soon as the bottle points to a suitable player, the player pointed to, or the player who spun the bottle has a potentially humiliating decision to make. The players can either kiss in the traditional way or one or the other can decide to take a drink instead. If the player who was picked by the bottle wants to drink then the player who spun the bottle has to drink twice for being rejected. If the player who spun the bottle doesn't want to kiss then they must drink three times for rejecting the other person. If it is a mutual decision to drink then each player takes one drink. The players can be as cold or as hospitable as they like about rejecting each other. Once a player has spun, kissed or had a drink, the next player in line spins the bottle. Have fun forgetting your childhood memories.
