Crazy 8's

In the long tradition of converting good, honest and wholesome games into ways to get loopy... we present to the game of Crazy 8's. This is a simple card game that requires very little thought process to play. There is some strategy to the game as you will see. However, your success, or lack there of, is mostly in the hands of the Great Card God in the sky and the deal that you receive. All you need to play this game is a deck of cards ( you may use more than one deck, depending on the number of players ) and a few friends to play. You should probably have a table to play on, but this of course is not a requirement. Here are the rules:

Pick a player to be the dealer and have them deal out 8 cards to each player. The rest of the cards are used as a draw pile. The player to the left of the dealer starts the game by playing, (putting down a card,) the lowest card in their hand. The next player, to their left, must now play a card that either;

If a player cannot play a card then they must draw from the pile. Play then moves on to the next player. If a player was able to play a card, then play moves on to the next player with no penalty.

Every player is allowed 2 free draws from the draw pile per game. If a player has to draw more than twice then they take 2 drinks for every time they draw, i.e. 4 draws, then you take 4 drinks, (4 draws minus 2 free draws = 2 draws x 2 drinks = 4.)

The first player to run out of cards is the winner and the game ends.

All of the other players must then count the remaining cards in their hand and take that many drinks, i.e. 5 cards left in your hand, then take 5 drinks.

That's pretty much it folks. Like we said before, if you have a large group of friends, you can play with 2 decks of cards. Beer is the recommended beverage for playing this game, however it is certainly permissible to enjoy any beverage while playing. Have fun!
